About

Nestled behind an unmarked door in downtown Ferndale lies a hidden portal to an island getaway known as Mai Tiki. Considered the speakeasy of tikis, all who pass through its doorway are instantly transported by the scent of refreshing tropical fruits and exotic cocktails to a sea-side paradise adorned with island relics and coastal views in every direction. Whether cozying up under the thatched canopy of the timeless galley bar, or filling up on delectable Polynesian plates, Mai Tiki promises a journey far from the mundane. With bygone recipes recovered from the historic cocktail tomes, once-lost libations — like The Zombie, Three Dots and a Dash, and the Pain Killer — have been resurrected with high-craft ingredients and are served in decorative tiki vessels that turn each offering into a vacation in a glass. Guests venturing to the veiled entrance of Mai Tiki may take home more than memories, with rare tiki mugs and souvenirs available for purchase. Found just off the beaten path of W. Nine Mile in downtown Ferndale, Mai Tiki is first and foremost in the evolution of tiki and speakeasy.
